Austin - Champ - 1955

Barnfind: English military jeep for restoration, with extra parts. Delivered as FFW (Fit For Wireles) model to British defence in September 1955, the extra large alternator and the original controls are included. It has therefore most probably also really been a radio vehicle. Rolls Royce 2.65 litre 4 cylinder petrol engine, Chassis number 10245 Fully fold-down windshield, colour British Army Green, right-hand drive Independent wheel suspension. 5 forward gears and 5 reverse gears. It is an abandoned restoration. The previous owner has started disassembling the vehicle, in particular the petrol tank and the rear brake system. Due to age-related reasons he no longer considered it feasible to finish the project. After several years this champ came recently out of the barn. The following shortcomings or missing parts: Distributor cap Switches on the dashboard. Radiator cap 2 seats (driver’s seat is comfortable but is not original) Cracks in the windshield. Registration, a license plate is present, no documents. Solex carburettor is partly disassembled, the parts are there, see the photos There are also extra parts included with the car, such as a grille, rear suspension, 3 complete original split rim wheels and tyres. The car is in an “as found” condition. When the Dutch National Road Administration has issued a registration number, the vehicle will be exempt from tax and the Dutch Periodic Vehicle Inspection (MOT) It can serve as a restoration project, donor/parts source, or cherished as barn find on, in, in front of a garage, shop window, paintball centre, go-kart track, as eye-catching advertising object in a pasture along the motorway. The vehicle can be viewed and picked up in Abbenbroek, the Netherlands. Delivery is also an option, in consultation. Please read the description and view the photos, these are a very important part of this lot
