We are selling one of a total of 150 produced 996 SPS/F units, this is copy no. 46. The Ducati comes from its second owner, it was in his possession for 10 years. After the Ducati had been standing still for 3 years, we disassembled it (including demounting of the engine), it was thoroughly cleaned and pretty much brought back to the condition it was in when it left the factory. The SPS/F was delivered in the ‘TriColori’ design with an according set of decals. This set was too old and therefore no longer usable. This is why we had our graphic designer reprint the decal set, which we then applied to the bike. The decals were protected with a clear coat on the lower sections of the fairing. The Ducati is accident-free and matching numbers in accordance with the supplied certificate. The first owner of the bike modified the front fork to an Öhlins FG43 and had this entered into the vehicle papers. However, we have built it back to the initial Showa fork in order to make it as original as possible. The FG fork with the fork bridge is included in the purchase price. Ducati Beyreuther has performed the 10,000 km engine service including a new timing belt with photo documentation. It comes with all of its accessories, such as the certificate, the metal key with engraved number, terpaulin, tools, board folder, data analyser. ABE mufflers and EPROM are available. The original seat and the plastic intake ducts are also present, but not mounted. The motorcycle currently has unauthorised Termignonis with the matching EPROM (a must!). Measured power 135 hp with report. This Ducati is a real collector’s item, that just loves to be driven and provides tons of driving pleasure. Please note that this is not an ordinary 996 SPS, but a limited series “F” model from 1999.
