Berlage – two oak stools
The Berlage stool, also known as "The Museum Stool". Since the opening of the Municipal Museum in The Hague in 1935, the Berlage stool has been used in the museum. A light, handy stool made of varnished oak. The seat has a slight curvature and is made of plywood, stained in black. After a design of the municipal architect H.H. van Zeggeren and the head of the Central Workshops, H.G. Schouten.
In the inside of both stools is a mark, which states that it is a reissue, commissioned by the Municipal Museum of The Hague, made in 2015.
Height: 46.5 cm. Width: 34 x 34 cm.
Made in 2015. The condition is good.
Occasionally, this stool can be purchased in the shop of the Municipal Museum for €295.
