A pair of armchairs GFM - 142, Edmund Hom's design, the 60s.
The armchairs were made in the 60s in the Gościecińska Furniture Factory.
The armchairs made from solid beech wood.
The GFM-142 armchair is regarded one of the best Polish armchair design from the previous age.
The armchairs have been thoroughly renovated.
The tension belts have been changed, new upholstery foams - upholstery material has been used - grey upholstery fabric of the highest quality.
The old varnish layers, holes, have been removed by us, then the wooden surfaces have been stained and varnished with a semi-gloss varnish.

About the designer:
Edmund Homa (14/04/1927 – 01/04/2017) – a Polish architect, designer of industrial design and interior architecture, a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk.
In the 60s the designer created a huge amount of new seat furniture designs, including the most recognisable pieces with numbers 64 and 142.
Edmund Homa also worked at the Danish Academy of Fine Arts under the supervision of Ole Wanscher. Edmund Homa's designs have received many awards.
